It’s white truffle season in the Piedmont region of Italy, the territories of Langhe and Roero come to life with the arrival of white truffles. To celebrate, Stella 34 Trattoria & Bar in Midtown is offering up a very special dish that showcases the intense flavor and aroma of these incredibly fragrant mushrooms.
Chef Jarett Appell, a Master Pizzaiolo Napoletano, serves up his authentic Neapolitan-style pizza by topping it with four grams of freshly-shaved white truffles from Alba and finishes it off with a mouthwatering béchamel sauce. This decadent pizza costs $65 and can be paired with a variety of Piedmontese wines.
For a limited time, Stella 34 Trattoria & Bar will also be holding a White Truffle Festival featuring this specialty pizza with complementary Piedmontese wine parings. See additional information on the White Truffle Festival HERE.
